IBRANCE is used to treat hormone receptor positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative (HR+/HER2-) advanced or metastatic breast cancer in certain types of cancer patients. It is also used to treat certain types of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), ovarian cancer, and colorectal cancer.
Mechanism of Action
IBRANCE works by inhibiting two molecules (cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6, or CDK4/6), which are proteins that are involved in the enlargement of cancer cells.
