Isopropyl Unoprostone 0.12% TS is an ophthalmic medication used to reduce intraocular pressure and treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It is available in the form of an eye drop solution.

Uses

Isopropyl Unoprostone 0.12% TS is used to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) in adults diagnosed with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It is used either alone or with other medications to prevent or delay the development of finding visual field loss due to elevation of IOP.

Mechanism of Action

Isopropyl Unoprostone 0.12% TS works by stimulating the production of norepinephrine within the ciliary processes of the eye. This increases the production of aqueous humor, with a consequent decrease in IOP.

How Long Does It Take to Work?

Isopropyl Unoprostone 0.12% TS begins to reduce IOP within 10 minutes of use and achieves maximum activity in 2 to 6 hours.

Absorption

Isopropyl Unoprostone 0.12% TS is rapidly absorbed after being administered into the eye in the form of a topical eye drop solution.

Route of Elimination

The majority of the drug is eliminated through conjugation into inactive compounds and excreted in urine.

Dosage

Administration
